Itinerary

Mandalay- Along Taw Kathapha- Bagan (Ayeyarwaddy River)- Popa Vacinity- Inle- Kalaw-Yangon

Day to day

Day 1. Mandalay Arrival and Birding at Mandalay
Arrive to Mandalay and you will be welcomed by the RMT Representative and your Birding Guide. You will then be transported to the one of Water Birds Area you could able to see Glossey Ibis ,Great / little Cormorants ,Egrets ,Herons and any other winter visitor birds and then you will go back to Mandalay downtown, have lunch and check in to your hotel. About 3:00 pm, you will have bird watching again and sightseeing around Mandalay Hill Area. Enjoy the unforgettable sun set at Mandalay Hill and then go back to your hotel.
Over night at Hotel in Mandalay.

Day2.Mandalay Birding
After breakfast at your hotel, you will be going to Mandalay Jetty, to have a boat trip in Ayeyarwaddy River and Mingun Area for Bird watching and Sightseeing. After that, lunch at Local Restaurant, and then visit to Taung Thman Lake to have birding around U Bein Bridge. Again have a wonderful sunset at U Bein Bridge and go back to your hotel.

Day3. Mandalay - Alaungtaw Kathapa (Wildlife Sanctuary)
Breakfast at your hotel and you will be then travelling to Alaungtaw Kathapa National Park. On the way, you will need to cross the Ayeyarwaddy River near Pakokku, after that Pakokku. Lunch will be at a big village on the way. After lunch, birding at about two places before arriving to Alaungtaw Kathapa (National Park). You will be staying at the Wildlife Sanctuary Guest House.
Over night at Alog Taw Kathapa(Wildlife Sanctuary) Guest House.

Day4. Five Full Days Birding at Along Taw Kathapa (Wildlife Sanctuary)
We will be get two full days bird watching at Alaungtaw Kathapa  National Park. This area is also known as Woodpecker area. We able to see Speckled, White-browed Piculets ,Eurasian Wryneck, Lesser and Greater Yellonapes Common, Himalayan, Greater Flamebacks, Grey-capped Pygmy, Yellow-crowned, Streak-throated, Streak-breasted, Grey-headed, Pale-headed, Rufous, Bay, White-bellied, Great-slaty Woodpeckers, Kalij Pheasant, Great, Oriental Pied Hornbill, Red-headed Trogon, White-rumped Falcon, Collared Falconet, Black Baza, Blue –eraed, Blue-throated, Liniated Barbets ,Large, Common Woodshrike ,Olive Bulbul, Greater Neckalced, Lesser Neckalced and White-creasted Laughinghrushes and more birds.
Over night at Alog Taw Kathapa(Wildlife Sanctuary) Guest House.

Day6. Alaungtaw Kathapa  National Park & drive to Bagan
In the early morning drive back to Bagan, and on the way you and your RMT Birding guide will stop at about 2 to 3 places for bird watching.to be able to see Grey-capped Pygmy, White-bellied, Gray-headed Woodpecker, Greater, Lesser Yellownape, Huimalayan,Common, Greater Flameback, Minvets, Orioles ,Bulbuls, Yellow-vented, Scarle-backed Flowerpeckers, any other Leafbirds and Repters . Lunch on the way and will arrive to Bagan about 5 or 6 pm.

Day7. Bagan   Ayeayarwaddy- Birding
After breakfast and biding at Bagan. In the morning time,we will try around  Bagan Chinese Franolin, Laggar Fancon ,Burmese Shrike,Spotted Owlet,Inian Nightjar and other species.After lunch we will visit around  the Ayeyaraddy River by boat .We will try the White-tailed Stonechat, Sand Lark, Spot-billed Duck, Ruddy Shelduck, River Lapwing, Small Pratincole and Striated Babbler we can also see wintering bird species at around the Boat trip. Drive back to your hotel .
Over night at Hotel in Bagan.

Day8. Bagan-Mt.Popa –Bagan Birding
Drive to Mt. Popa after breakfast .Full day birding at Mt.Popa .We will try one of best bird for Mt.Popa.One of the Endemic Myanmar Bird Hooded Treepie and any other bird Green-billed Malkoha, Rufous Treepie, Whie-throated Fantail,Darian Redstart, hestnut-flanked and Oriental White-eyes, Greater and Lesser-necklaced Laughinghrushes and many other species. We will try the whole day. Driver  back to Bagan and sightseeing at Bagan.

Day9. Bagan-Nyaung U-Heho-Inle Lake
After check out from your hotel, you will be transported to Nyaung U Airport for check in to your flight for Heho. From Heho, you will be welcomed by RMT representative and will be transported to Nyaung Shwe. Then, you will be in a private sightseeing boat for the birding in Inle Lake. In the lake, you may be able to see rare Jerdon’s Bushchat, Collared Myna, Striated Babbler, Blue -eared Kingfisher, very rare Sarus Crane, Jungle, Wgite-vented, Collered Mynas ,Water birds  and any other winter visitor birds. Enjoy the whole day birding in the Inle Lake.
Over night at hotel in Inle Lake.

Day10. Inle Lake- Kalaw
After breakfast, you will be on your private boat to have Bird watching in morning time at Inle Lake. Check out from your Hotel at about 12 noon and then back to Nyaung Shwe by boat. lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, you will be going to Kalawwhich is about 2 hours drive from Heho. When arrive to Kalaw, you will check in to your lovely hotel. In the afternoon, you will have bird watching about 2 or 3 hours.

Day11. Kalaw Birding
After breakfast, You will be going to Yae Aye Kan Area by car and start birding to be able see near-endemic  birds Burmese-Yuhina ,Indochinese Cuckooshrike, Dark-backed Sibia, Rusty-cheeked, White-browed Scimitar Babblers, Sooty-headed, Brown-breasted, Ashy and Black Bulbuls, Sliver-breasted and Long-tailed Broabills, White-crowned and Black-backed Forktails, White-capped Water Redstard, Warblers and any other species.
Over night at Hotel in Kalaw.

Day12. Kalaw-Heho and Fly to Yangon or  Mandalay
After breakfast, you will be transported to Heho Airport which is about an hour drive from Kalaw. Fly to Yangon Airport (or ) Mandalay and check in your hotel.  You will have sightseeing and bird watching around Yangon.
Over night at hotel in Yangon.

Day13. Departure to Yangon (or ) Mandalay Airport
Relaxing morning on your own at Yangon and then you will be picked up by your private car,
you will be transferred to Yangon International Airport for departure flight to Amsterdam.
